After HS I went into active duty for the US Navy. I spent time in multiple locations while on active duty. I spent 6 total years serving. After, I served a two-year volunteer mission for my church. With encouragement from my mission supervisor (president), I entered a university to pursue a degree. This was never something even on my radar. I was pleased to complete my BS, becoming a first-generation college graduate. Later I returned to a different school and completed a specialized MBA. My career choice has been in the nonprofit sector. I am still actively involved in this work. My wife and I just celebrated 43 years of marriage. We have three children and eleven grandchildren.
